The Traffic Safety Board's goals are:

- Reduce pedestrian related injuries

- Reduce bicycle related injuries

- Provide traffic safety education in schools

- Provide bi-lingual materials and education in traffic safety to the Hispanic community

- Provide the public with statistical data and educational support for drug/alcohol and driving awareness

- Coordinate Child Passenger Safety initiative including car seat distribution and installation education
